There are many unique travellers’ attractions in our world today. As the tourism industry booms, the number of visitors visiting these spots increases every year. Some of the world’s most visited spots are located in Paris, New York, London, Dubai and Bangkok.

Paris

Paris is full of lovebirds on honeymoons or romantic getaways, and it receives 15 million visitors every year. The romantic city is celebrated as the city of light, with famous attractions like the Notre Dame de Paris, the Louvre, Basilique du Sacré-Cœur and the Eiffel Tower. The Seine River has always enthralled and captivated visitors taking a stroll along its banks, while the many cafes peppered around the city receive throngs of visitors every day who are just contented to soak up the atmosphere.

Rome

Known as the Eternal City, Rome is one of the most beautiful ancient cities in the world. Crowded with 2.7 million residents, the capital of Italy is steeped in tradition. It has a rich history of two and a half thousand years, attracting and intriguing many curious tourists with its unique architecture found in monuments and museums. The Vatican Museum and the Colosseum are must-sees when going to Rome, and the historic centre is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Rome is an expensive city for shopping, but if you are looking for high quality goods and retro fashion, Rome might just be the place for you.

New York

New York is the City that Never Sleeps. Times Square in New York is one of the top attractions in the bustling city, offering many eye-opening experiences and temptations. The Rockefeller Centre, American Radiator Building, New York Public Library, and the many Broadway theatres make Times Square a place full of exciting energy. Before you leave New York, make sure you get a bird eye’s view of Manhattan from the top of the Empire State Building, treat yourself to a sumptuous dinner at ’21’ Club, and see a classical concert at Carnegie Hall.

London

Besides its gastronomical treats and critically acclaimed restaurants, London offers famous attractions such as the London Eye, Oxford Street, Hyde Park, the Thames, Trafalgar Square, and Piccadilly Circus. The changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace still take place to this day, enticing millions of visitors to delve deeper into the city’s history.

Dubai

Due to its extravagant buildings, Dubai has become the 8th most visited country in the world. Today, Dubai is the business hub of the Middle East, and it hosts the world’s tallest building, Burj Dubai, and the world’s most expensive hotel, Burj al Arab. Dubai’s impressive architectural feats do not stop there. The massive Palm Islands project also makes the islands the world’s largest man made islands.

Bangkok

Bangkok is a shopping heaven, and a tourist’s treasure. The unique clash of ancient tradition and fast-paced modernity in Bangkok makes the city pulse with life. While skyscrapers fill the skyline, the city is peppered with Buddhist temples which hint at the roots of Bangkok’s culture. Khao San Road and the royal palace are places not to be missed if one takes a trip to Bangkok. The nightlife is not all there is to Bangkok – Muay Thai boxing matches, Thai massages, and Thai food are all excellent activities waiting to be explored.
