Scandinavian Airlines’ Houston to Stavanger route gets underway

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) recently instigated their non-stop service between Houston, Texas and Stavanger- the only airline in the world to operate the route between the two oil cities.

Flights between the two cities will be made using Boeing 737-700 aircraft, fitted with 44 lie-flat business-class seats arranged in a 2-2 configuration, making for ample comfort for those making the 10 hour journey. SAS will also be offering in-flight entertainment and choice of full-service meals.

The airline plans to operate the service six days a week, with flights departing from Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport at 21:35 daily with the exclusion of Saturdays, arriving in Stavanger at 14.20 the following day, local time. Flights from Stavanger to Houston will also operate daily with the exclusion of Saturdays, departing at 16.00, landing in Texas at 19:40 the same day.

Scandinavian Airlines, currently serves 90 destinations worldwide, among them nonstop service from Newark airport to Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm, from Chicago (O’Hare) international Airport to Copenhagen and Stockholm, and from Washington, D.C. and San Francisco to Copenhagen.
