Poppin continues to add more color to the office environment and raises more money to do so

New York based office products giant Poppin, have succeeded in raising an additional $17 million in Series C funding to finance the expansion of the company, which has earned itself a particular niche since its foundation in September 2012 by marketing fashionable and affordable office products with a focus on making the shopping experience engaging to customers.

Poppin, whose client list includes LinkedIn, Rent the Runway, Squarespace, Warby Parker and the NFL Network has received this recent round of capital from Creative Capital, First Round Capital, Fifth Third Capital Holdings, Shasta Ventures, and West Capital Advisors.

The latest round of funding means that Poppin has now raised in excess of $34 million in venture capital, through returning investors Shasta Ventures, First Round Capital and Creative Capital while the Fifth Third Financial Corporation and West Capital Advisors are new investors in the company.

Poppin, founded by online entrepreneur Christopher Burch has added some considerable color to large and small offices throughout the United States by providing affordable alternatives to traditional office supplies and furnishings. All of their products are marketed online through the Poppin website.

Recently Poppin has signed a partnership with a prominent national retail chain through its wholesale program, which will bring its products to Crate & Barrel, Staples, Urban Outfitters as well as more than ninety college bookstores.

According to a representative of Poppin the latest round of funding will be used to increase the company’s technology base, increase their product range as well as polish up the online customer experience, by providing easy-to-use design tools aimed at simplifying the discovery the office planning process, as well as making improvements to the customisation and re-ordering process.
