Finnair to launch their Premium Economy Class

Finnair, the flag carrier and largest airline of Finland have unveiled their plans to launch a premier economy class to the marketed under the name of Economy Comfort.

Economy Comfort will be available for passengers starting from the autumn on long-haul flights. The new Economy Comfort section will offer seats with an additional four inches of legroom, as well as high-quality headphones and a number of other amenities.

At the same time Finnair has also announced that they will begin offering economy-class passengers on long-haul flights a mid-flight snack on day flights, and updated wine menu, as well as complimentary sparkling wine for each passenger over drinking age.

Business-class customers will also be liable to receive upgraded amenity kits with high-quality brand products.

To make long term flights a little more enjoyable Finnair will be expanding their choices of in-flight entertainment.

On short-haul flights within Europe, Finnair are also planning to phase out their cold snack service which was available for economy class passengers and replace it with “Sky Bistro”, a much wider selection of foods and beverages coming from Europe and Asia. Passengers can order Sky Bistro meals in advance through the Internet or during the flight. Tea, coffee, and blueberry juice will continue to be offered on a complimentary basis on all flights, in all classes of service.
