Situated in the vaulted 17th century cellar of a 17th-century mansion, conveniently situated in the very heart of Copenhagen, the cuisine at the AOC Restaurant is based on Nordic produce, based around four to seven course set menus.

The AOC Restaurant has a very pleasant and intimate ambience, seating about 40 people in one service. The restaurant’s decor has a simple, clean and personal feel to it, with table settings left uncomplicated, soft rugs spread on the floor contrasting nicely with the unobtrusive art covering the walls.

The restaurant’s owner Christian Aarø also acts as chief Sommelier offering the finest from Old and New World vineyards with a strong showing of natural wines.

For the last four years chef Søren Selin has stamped his mark on the menu, remaining faithful to the restaurant’s Nordic traditions, while showcasing ultra-fresh ingredients harvested from the mountains, valleys and waters of Scandinavia.

Selin, joined AOC from the renowned Alberto K restaurant in the city, after learning his trade working in some of the finest restaurants in Paris.

AOC offers a year-round choice of tasting menus, which run from five, seven or ten courses and change with the season. Typical specialties include lamb with textures of yellow beet-root and a pickled onion and smoked marrow sauce; or razor clams with tomato, dried scallop roe and mussel snow.
